Now, you can promote your brand, business, or nonprofit using these free or cheap audio-visual tools.
1. Livestream.com has a free and a paid subscription enabling you to broadcast live in HD. It’s great for promoting your brand’s conferences, meetings, or professional development offerings. You can record it and play it later for others.
2. My favorite: Google Hangouts, which is free, enables you to live stream to Google+, YouTube, and your website in HD. You can host interactive conversations with people anywhere in the world, stream a conference keynote, or moderate a panel discussion with experts in your field. You have the option to allow or disallow comments and questions during your event.
You can also use Hangouts for small video conferences or meetings, inviting up to ten people to join in.
How to test it: Go to your Google+ account dashboard page. In the middle, you’ll find, “Start a video call with your followers.” Click “Start a Hangout,” and install the Hangouts Plugin to get started.
Invite some friends to hangout and you should see them live on the screen. Once installed, click “Join.” Your friends or colleagues will have to join Google Hangouts and accept your invitation to your test meeting.
3. Promote your brand using short animated clips and videos. People love to be entertained, so use animation clips in your e-mail marketing campaigns, as part of your content marketing strategy, on your YouTube channel, and on your blog or website.
Some examples are: GoAnimate, Anime Studio, Flash Professional CC (part of Adobe Creative Cloud), and Toon Boom Animation. You can also use Snagit to add text, circles, arrows, borders, etc. to your videos.
Editor’s Note: I have used PowToon successfully.
Do you have any favorite audio-visual branding tools you’ve used?
